Rewrite: Write a better story for the planet and its people

Our daily actions and behaviours are what writes the story of how we see ourselves and the world around us.

By switching daily education instruments for a sustainable option, we help students to live the change and track the impact that they are making. Each Rewrite pen is made from 100% recycled ocean-bound plastics, taking materials that once impacted marine life and were destined to roam the ocean forever, and turning them into tools that empower students to express themselves and learn every day.

Cleaning up our planet and ocean starts with our partners that lead their fields in the collection, sorting and recycling of waste materials from coastlines and polluted waterways.

After their collection, we breathe new life into these abandoned plastic products, giving them a chance to rewrite their story and become part of the circular economy. With the support of passionate people and organisations we have been able to remove over 250kg’s of plastic since we launched in 2023.

With students of all ages writing thousands of words a year, together we can tackle a single-use industry and transform waste into words.

80% less carbon emissions

Compared to conventional plastic manufacturing processes, our mechanical recycling process produces significantly less carbon emissions. By minimising energy-intensive processes and utilising recycled materials, we reduce our environmental footprint and contribute to a cleaner, greener ecosystem.

100% recyclable

Rewrite products can be recycled in many locations such as Officeworks, Terracycle and Banish recycling programs, ensuring they contribute to the circular economy and are used again.

Supporting ocean clean-ups

We allocate 10% of our profits to fund initiatives aimed at cleaning up our oceans. By choosing Rewrite, you directly support these crucial efforts to restore ocean health.

Rewrite was born on the east coast of Australia. We exist to clean our oceans; collecting, and transforming ocean-bound plastics into quality writing instruments.
